You, My unique princess, are your own special person. The way you think and the talents you have are a gift from Me. I did not give you this gift to compare yourself to others or to condemn others. No one is you! I want you to look around and see the way I colored the world with different kinds of people. The glory of My creation is seen in the details and in the differences, the beauty of relationships is found when different gifts and temperaments come together in My harmony. Your purpose is not to mold others to be like you, but to help them to open their own gifts by accepting them the way I accept you. Remember, My pretty princess, I gave you a talent to touch others—not to tear them down.
Your King and your Ultimate Gift
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:4
So recently I got my nose pierced and I love it. It took me forever to convince myself in fear of not looking acceptable and having a hole in my nose after I take it out (also in fear of what my mother thinks). Luckily it doesn’t make me look any less classy and I’ve also gotten a lot of positive feedback. Now I have about 10 piercings all together and have never seen anything wrong with something that’s not so permanent. With that being said I have no problem with tattoos, I’m personally just to indecisive to get them. But in this generation more and more people are having tattoos and piercing that are involved in and out of the church. Some people would say that by this Christians, are blending in with the world, or even damaging the body that God has given to them that should remain pure. Now we all know in the bible piercings and markings on the skin did exist in that time. But was it seen displeasing to God? I personally don’t see a problem with piercing or tattoos and even have found videos of other Christians who clarify how it is acceptable to get tattoos with scripture reference (that’ll be down below). If you are someone who does, Please tell me why and try to back it up with scripture!

In 2014 I started a journey to find my confidence. To find a place inside myself where I am comfortable in my own skin. I want to be beautiful and the best that I can be for myself. I didn’t start this journey by making a list of new years resolutions that I’ll never keep, but I started it by doing little things that make me feel great about myself; for me, not for anyone else. I even have a new motto which is, “You have to do something you’ve never done before to get new results in life.” Now I’m not saying everyone should go by this, if your life is where you want it to be then you shouldn’t touch something that isn’t damaged. But if your like me and have bad cycles in your life that are making you feel stuck, then maybe you should rethink things. I guess you can say this post is more than just about confidence, it’s about a life change. I’m starting from the inside out working on myself in every possible way. Luckily I am young, single, and blessed so I am taking advantage of this singleness that God has given me and using it to search for Him more so I can find myself.
Some of the changes that I’ve made are:
- Eating better, I am half way gluten-free and working on becoming fully!
- Working out 5 times a week, I have goals now and can’t wait to see my body meet its greatest potential
- Spending time with God every night, I used to literally not be able to sleep without praying to God and reading my bible, I definitely want to get back to that
- Being a better friend, I feel like I have friends that God has put in my life going towards the same goals as me, I want to be the best friend I can to them
- Taking pictures, now this one may sound weird but, I never felt comfortable in taking pictures because of the fear of them capturing my flaws instead of my beauty, I’ve recently started taking more pictures and it has already started building my confidence
- Road trips! I am young and single, I need to see whats out there
- Reading, I love books but I am not consist, I rarely ever finish a book because I always get bored fast! I’m working on reading more and finishing them
- Studying! Doing better in school goes hand in hand with this, even though I hate studying it’s part of being in school.
- Getting an internship! I am a fashion merchandising major and I love to have more experience in my field! Looking for summer internships now!
That’s all I can think of for now! I’m on my way!
Tell me your goals? Or how are you bettering yourself?
I know you want to be accepted by others, but you were not made to fit in. You, My princess, were created to stand out. Not to draw attention to yourself, but to live the kind of life that leads others to Me. Remember it’s your choices that will pave your path to life. I will not force you to do anything. I have given you a free will to walk with Me or to walk away from Me. I want you to know that you can put on your crown at any time and let people know that you belong to Me. You have a royal call on your life. I want you to remember you wear the crown of everlasting life, and through you I will do abundantly more than you would ever dare to dream.
Your King and Crown Giver
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Your feet are beautiful when they follow Me. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, My love, and I have given you feet to walk with Me through this life. Just as Moses walked My people out of slavery, your walk with Me will be filled with My divine intervention. If you follow My lead, you will feel Me as we journey together in the same direction. I want you to keep your feet on the narrow road, and I will anoint you to take My life-giving news to others. You will have the courage to tell them that I am the God who gives salvation to all who want to know Me. Keep walking with Me, My princess, because you carry My life-changing truth inside your soul.
Your King and your Deliverer
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news of peace and salvation, the news that God of Israel reigns!
Enjoy your week! Keep Praying
Today is my birthday and I am so blessed to see this day because unfortunately so many people don’t get to live to their 21 and that includes Trayvon Martin. We all know of him and may have even seen or heard about his unfair death at age 17. Even though its sad I am thankful that God allowed him to experience some kind of life at all! With that being sad I am not only celebrating my birthday today but also Trayvon Martins for him!
In a lighter note I am 21 today and have been enjoying every minuet of it! My friends are truly amazing if I was a crier I would cry because they have truly given me selfless love that I will always remember! THANKS GUYS!
Thanks for reading – Joon
We all know the month of February brings two things, Love and Black history month. Some people hate this month out of jealousy of being alone and other have that special one to cuddle wit when that special Valentines day comes around. I personally have learned to use this month as a way of getting closer to God when I am to longing for my husband. With that being said my older sister introduced me to this book that is full of love letters from God. I would love to share the gift of the letters for encouragement to you every Monday of the month of February. There letters written from God to His princesses, which is exactly who you are to God!!
Here’s your first letter, I hope you enjoy and learn.
Remember, My love, your tongue has the power of life and death. Every day you will be faced with the opportunity to talk about others. I’m asking you to let Me take control of your conversations. When you are tempted to give in to gossip, pray. I’m the only One who can tame your tongue. I know how hard it is to think before you speak, but I will help you. I want you to be careful who you listen to and what conversations you engage in. socializing with the wrong people and getting involved with useless conversation or harmful hearsay can cost you friendships and your reputation. I am willing to listen to all that concerns you about others. So talk to Me first, and I will give you words of wisdom in how to build up others and glorify Me.
Your King who purifies your tongue
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
