Confidence, How do you see yourself?

In 2014 I started a journey to find my confidence. To find a place inside myself where I am comfortable in my own skin. I want to be beautiful and the best that I can be for myself. I didn’t start this journey by making a list of new years resolutions that I’ll never keep, but I started it by doing little things that make me feel great about myself; for me, not for anyone else. I even have a new motto which is, “You have to do something you’ve never done before to get new results in life.” Now I’m not saying everyone should go by this, if your life is where you want it to be then you shouldn’t touch something that isn’t damaged. But if your like me and have bad cycles in your life that are making you feel stuck, then maybe you should rethink things. I guess you can say this post is more than just about confidence, it’s about a life change. I’m starting from the inside out working on myself in every possible way. Luckily I am young, single, and blessed so I am taking advantage of this singleness that God has given me and using it to search for Him more so I can find myself.

Some of the changes that I’ve made are:

  1. Eating better, I am half way gluten-free and working on becoming fully!
  2. Working out 5 times a week, I have goals now and can’t wait to see my body meet its greatest potential
  3. Spending time with God every night, I used to literally not be able to sleep without praying to God and reading my bible, I definitely want to get back to that
  4. Being a better friend, I feel like I have friends that God has put in my life going towards the same goals as me, I want to be the best friend I can to them
  5. Taking pictures, now this one may sound weird but, I never felt comfortable in taking pictures because of the fear of them capturing my flaws instead of my beauty, I’ve recently started taking more pictures and it has already started building my confidence
  6. Road trips! I am young and single, I need to see whats out there
  7. Reading, I love books but I am not consist, I rarely ever finish a book because I always get bored fast! I’m working on reading more and finishing them
  8. Studying! Doing better in school goes hand in hand with this, even though I hate studying it’s part of being in school.
  9. Getting an internship! I am a fashion merchandising major and I love to have more experience in my field! Looking for summer internships now!

That’s all I can think of for now! I’m on my way!

Tell me your goals? Or how are you bettering yourself?
